Rebuilding Bonds

It's been a few months since Face's rescue, and everyone's still tensely looking over their shoulders. They've split up for the moment, hoping to better evade potential pursuers, but no one's exactly thrilled about it.

Face's memory is slowly returning, bits of it coming back like pieces of a patchwork quilt. There's still a lot missing, though,and it still hurts that it's gone. Which is why they're standing in a pawnshop on a dingy side street looking for a deal.

It's not what either of them want, really. They should get to have something special, something theirs. But they just...can't, right now, so they make do with what they've got. Just like always.

"Mmmm, I think tonight..." he purred, pressing kisses up Murdock's scruffy jawline to his ear before whispering; "...I've got something special..."

"Yeah? Do tell."

He's happy enough to be where they are, anything else is a welcome bonus.

Leaning back, he takes a generous bite himself - letting the idea stew a little bit.

"What is the most awkward thing you can think of that would drive you wild?"

He tilts his head, considering the question.

"We're naked in a Jacuzzi eating cheeseburgers. I'm pretty open-minded at this point."

"My tongue... your ass..." he grins wider, lifting an eyebrow.

"Sounds weird, but I guarantee it'll blow your mind."

"Ah."

He thinks about it like they haven't actually done it before, because as far as Face us concerned, they haven't.

"Hell, I'll try anything once."

And that's enough to draw a broad grin across his face as he leans back and rather luxuriously finishes his burger - already eyeing the bowl of ripe strawberries and fondue pot burning down full of warm chocolate.

"That's my boy..."

"You know it."

There's a comfortably full feeling in his belly as they finish up, but they're just getting started.

Face is entirely too wrapped up in what's going on to particularly care about anything else. They've got a roof over their head - for the night at least - and full bellies and an arm full of each other in the hot tub and he can't really imagine things being much better given the circumstance.

"I don't deserve you..." he mutters with a cockeyed smile, dragging a chocolate coated strawberry across his lips before biting it off near the top. "You're too good to be true."

That's just unfair. Fruit should not be that sexy.

"Stop with the 'I don't deserve you' stuff, okay? I stayed with you this long and I'm not going anywhere."

If that was sexy, the track of his tongue wiping away the lingering chocolate would be nearly impossible to bear.

"It's still true." His voice drops down to a low purr and he shifts back close again, leaning in close to his partner; "I may not remember everything we've been through these last few years... but I know that it hasn't been easy for you."

Oh yeah... that's gonna get him kissed.

"No, it hasn't always been easy... but you've always been worth it."

A kiss he's more than happy to return with utmost pleasure.

"I get the impression that we're both worth it."

"Oh, you got that impression, huh?"

Someone's feeling sassy.

"So worth it."

Sassy and really... really aroused.

"I've also got the impression that we're going to have to refuse turndown service in the morning because you are gonna be up all night..."

"Oh really. That a promise?"

He grabs a strawberry of his own before leaning even closer to his man.

"Isn't is always?"

It's easy to shift into his lap, swiping another strawberry through the deep well of chocolate before perching the green step between his teeth and leaning in to feed it to his lover.

"I. Want. You."

"Pretty sure you got me..."

He takes a bit of the fruit, licking the chocolate off his lips.

"Right where you want me."

It only takes a second to turn his head and spit out the ragged stem, then sweep Murdock into an intense kiss.

"Everywhere I want you."

"Mmhmm... and in every way."

That was a hint, in case he was wondering.

Hints are a very good thing, and heard loud and clear.

"Mmm, including on your back... in bed?"

"Oh yeah... and anywhere else we feel like it."

Vegas does things to him, apparently.

It's Vegas. It's specifically designed to do things to people. Usually things that part them from their money.

"We definitely could."

He just wants to get started somewhere.

And it's far more fun when you didn't have money to start out with. Though, a bit challenging.

Face is content to shut his mouth, pressing a warm kiss against his partner's lips as his hand trails down the thick hair on his chest - following it to his belly and under the warm bubbling water to tease lazy circles just above the base of his cock.
