It's been a few months since Face's rescue, and everyone's still tensely looking over their shoulders. They've split up for the moment, hoping to better evade potential pursuers, but no one's exactly thrilled about it.

Face's memory is slowly returning, bits of it coming back like pieces of a patchwork quilt. There's still a lot missing, though,and it still hurts that it's gone. Which is why they're standing in a pawnshop on a dingy side street looking for a deal.

It's not what either of them want, really. They should get to have something special, something theirs. But they just...can't, right now, so they make do with what they've got. Just like always.

He takes a bit of the fruit, licking the chocolate off his lips.

"Right where you want me."

It only takes a second to turn his head and spit out the ragged stem, then sweep Murdock into an intense kiss.

"Everywhere I want you."

That was a hint, in case he was wondering.

And it's far more fun when you didn't have money to start out with. Though, a bit challenging.

Face is content to shut his mouth, pressing a warm kiss against his partner's lips as his hand trails down the thick hair on his chest - following it to his belly and under the warm bubbling water to tease lazy circles just above the base of his cock.

"Mmmm, you didn't say please..."

He draws out the words, knowing exactly what his lover wants to hear.

The way Murdock's features just scream out every single bit of that love and adoration with his easy smile is enough to make him jealous of that honesty. Not many people can wear themselves out on their sleeve like that and Murdock makes him, probably one of the most stone-faced men alive, want to be just the same.

"I love you." The words tumble from his lips as a simple statement of fact, no pretense, not even dripping the sensuality of the moment as he makes a point of drawing his fingers slowly over his growing arousal. "I always will."

"I know," he gasps as the arousal washes over him. He grips Face's shoulder a bit tighter, tight enough to leave marks that'll take a while to fade.

"Part of the reason we're here, right?"

It's a good kind of pain, the kind he encourages.

"Come here..." he laughs, wrapping both arms around Murdock as he pushes up on his feet in the shallow hot tub - lifting him with some effort up over his shoulder. "This used to be easier..." He teased, slowly managing his way up the two slippery steps to the tiled floor. "I'm prepared to slip and break my neck doing this, just so you know."

"And just what are you implying?" he teases, poking him lightly in the ribs as he's lifted out of the water. "You don't have to carry me, y'know."

"Mmm, I'm out of shape..." he grins, brushing a kiss on Murdock's naked wet skin. "I could carry you all night, baby."

The next few steps are shaky at best, but he manages the short distance to the practically gigantic bed before tossing him on it - wet or not, he was taking his prize.

Sparing a moment to mentally apologize to whoever ends up cleaning their room, he reaches up and pulls Face down on top of him.

"Mine."

"Completely." Face gasps as he's pulled down, entirely too willing to lean in and join him.

"In every way."

His voice drops down to a hollow moan at the pull of skin against skin and it's not like they haven't been at it like crazy for years, but somehow every time it's like the most perfect time all over again.

He lets his hands wander over Face's ass and thighs, two of his very favorite parts.

He lets out a soft moan followed by a whispered "Yes..."

And that little sound is all it takes to unravel him, making him shudder as he slides his hands over Murdock's thighs - digging in the tips of his fingers.

"I did promise all night, didn't I?" He grins, pressing kisses along his collarbone; "Gotta make you work for this..."

"Oh I know you will," he grins, raking a hand up his side. "Gotta earn this."

"Oh... I think you have earned so very much." Face moans, his teeth catching the skin just under his chin before kissing down his throat.

"I love you."

He doesn't know if he remembers that's a sensitive area or if he's just going on instinct, but either way it gets a very vocal reaction.

"You too... so much."

Oh, he remembers... and he's fully pleased to use it to his advantage.

"Mmmm, I can't imagine anyone I'd rather die for."

It's an odd sentiment, but one he means with all his heart.

"No dying." He nips gently at his collarbone. "Not allowed."
