Rebuilding Bonds

It's been a few months since Face's rescue, and everyone's still tensely looking over their shoulders. They've split up for the moment, hoping to better evade potential pursuers, but no one's exactly thrilled about it.

Face's memory is slowly returning, bits of it coming back like pieces of a patchwork quilt. There's still a lot missing, though,and it still hurts that it's gone. Which is why they're standing in a pawnshop on a dingy side street looking for a deal.

It's not what either of them want, really. They should get to have something special, something theirs. But they just...can't, right now, so they make do with what they've got. Just like always.

And that little sound is all it takes to unravel him, making him shudder as he slides his hands over Murdock's thighs - digging in the tips of his fingers.

"I did promise all night, didn't I?" He grins, pressing kisses along his collarbone; "Gotta make you work for this..."

"Oh I know you will," he grins, raking a hand up his side. "Gotta earn this."

"Oh... I think you have earned so very much." Face moans, his teeth catching the skin just under his chin before kissing down his throat.

"I love you."

He doesn't know if he remembers that's a sensitive area or if he's just going on instinct, but either way it gets a very vocal reaction.

"You too... so much."

Oh, he remembers... and he's fully pleased to use it to his advantage.

"Mmmm, I can't imagine anyone I'd rather die for."

It's an odd sentiment, but one he means with all his heart.

"No dying." He nips gently at his collarbone. "Not allowed."

[notjustaface]

"Not today at least..." he shivers at the gentle nip, letting his body fold on top of his lover - content to enjoy the sensations.

"And hopefully not for a really... really long time."

He's busy trying to touch every inch of his partner's exposed skin, but he manages to nod his agreement.

"Not till we're both old and gray," he teases.

"Mmm, hate to break it to you... but when I was dying my hair the other day..."

He giggled, nosing up toward Murdock's ear with a hollow groan; "Just between you and me it was kind of scary."

God, he loves that giggle. He'll do anything he can to make sure he gets to hear it more.

"Don't worry, baby, you're still beautiful."

It's... sort of teasing but also totally true.

"And you'll say that even when this face cracks and I've got a terrible wig..." He can't help but grin even wider, sliding his hands down Murdock's muscled thighs.

"And I'm still gonna be making you the happiest pilot alive."

Now it's his turn to giggle. He does do a pretty good job of keeping him happy.

"I'll still be sayin' it 'cause it'll still be true."

He arches up to meet his touch, urging him to go further, faster, more.

Face's tongue snakes down the path of Murdock's belly - circling his navel with several gentle flicks. His teeth graze against his lover's tender flesh, a moan escaping his throat as he relaxes down low on his belly.

Peeking up with an evil grin from between Murdock's thighs, he murmurs; "Keep talking..."

"Gah... you are evil."

In the best possible way.

"You love it..." he purrs, nibbling his thigh with a wild grin. "Just relax... I've got this."

His shoulders push Murdock's thighs - lifting him slightly upward for even easier access.

"I really do."

He tries to relax despite the anticipation of the still fairly unfamiliar feeling. They rarely get the chance to be together like this, and he wants to enjoy it to the fullest.

Taking his time, inhaling deeply with a soft shudder of echoed familiarity, Face brushed his lips against the curve of his ass - his tongue sweeping him open with only a soft groan of desire.

It was an intimate sort of thing, something he needed.

He shivers, thankful for the fact that they don't need to keep quiet. It's still a weird feeling, but not unpleasant.

Definitely not unpleasant.

Pushing himself, letting himself reach out of that comfort zone, is important. He takes his time, flicking the tip of his tongue gently over him before pushing deep to his core.

His fingers curled even harder - marking Murdock's thighs with fingertip bruises they'll both admire in the morning.

It's one of the best things about their relationship, the way they dare each other to push past those limits. The strong grip hurts a little, but not in a bad way. (He's not even sure if that makes sense, but right now he really doesn't care.)

"Feels so good..."

Withdrawing, only briefly, he looks back up with a wicked smile - his tongue flicking over Murdock's balls.

"Love you..."

He really can't help himself, not when they've reached that perfect point.

"You too."

He grins, moaning as one particular movement catches him off-guard. It's a little strange, being this vulnerable, but he knows that for the moment, they're both safe.

Murdock almost makes it easy for him to care so deeply it hurts, he may not remember all the steps - and he knows it was a lot - that got them there, but he knows it just feels right and that's enough.

He forces his tongue even deeper, letting his mind concentrate on the act despite his body's insistence he needed more and he needed it now.

They've always had such a strong bond, and even though everything else is a little shaky, the love they share has withstood everything life has thrown at it. At times like these, with no barriers of any kind between them, it feels like nothing can stop them.

"More..."

It seems as though they're on the same wavelength regarding that matter as well.

More... more is good.

Face's tongue curled - tracing hard over the tender flesh. His body arched against the mattress with a hollow moan closing his throat.

"Mmmm," he manged to pull himself away, once more lifting his head up between Murdock's thighs with a cheshire grin; "details, baby."
